The love child of a Manhattan and a Sazerac (my two favorite drinks!), The Waldorf sounds like a delightful way to unwind after a long day.

The Waldorf
Recipe from On The Rocks
2 oz rye whiskey
3/4 oz sweet vermouth
1/4 oz absinthe or substitute
2 dashes Angostura bitters
Pour the absinthe into a mixing glass and swirl it around to coat the sides. Toss out any excess.
Add the remaining ingredients and ice.
Stir well.
Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
Bottoms up!
