Tips for a Whiskey Newbie

For those of you just getting into whisk(e)y, it can be a little bit of a shock, especially if you're used to more subdued liquors like vodka, or drinks with lower alcohol content, like wine or beer.

But don't let it scare you away!  Follow these tips to ease in and quickly become a whiskey pro.


 A Few Tips for the Budding Whiskey Drinker

1. Know what you're tasting.

2. The first sip is just to shock your palate.

3. You won't taste what others taste.

4. It should taste strong.

5. Ice and water are totally acceptable.
